Job description
The Mechanical Engineer owns the end-to-end design, prototyping, and production support of electronic enclosures, operating with moderate independence. Responsibilities span consumer-style devices, rack-mounted server chassis, and rugged outdoor enclosures, alongside providing technical guidance to junior team members and managing light physical prototype assembly and occasional travel.To be successful, candidates must combine strong SolidWorks proficiency with hands-on expertise in designing manufacturable parts using sheet metal, machined components, plastics, extrusions, die-cast aluminum, and seals. Success relies on delivering complete, production-ready designs with minimal supervision, identifying technical risks early, collaborating effectively across disciplines, and exercising sound judgment on when to escalate cost, schedule, or safety risks.
