Key Account Manager, Mid-Sweden – Neuroscience

As our new Key Account Manager – Neuroscience, you will play a vital role in Ipsen’s presence in Sweden and building long-term partnerships that drive better outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals alike.


 

The Role

This is a field-based role, with responsibility for developing our presence across the market through direct engagement with hospitals and healthcare professionals. As Key Account Manager – Neuroscience, you will lead the sales across your region. Your mission is to build and strengthen long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in Neurology and Rehabilitation medicine (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialists), drive product uptake, and position Ipsen as a trusted partner within the field.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, physiotherapists, and decision-makers.
  • Engaging customers in high-quality scientific and product discussions in line with approved materials and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize product potential within Neurology, Rehabilitation medicine (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialists) along with other therapeutic areas such as Pediatrics, Hand surgery or Urology.
  • Coordinate and facilitate educational programs, speaker events, and promotional activities to enhance product awareness and drive product utilization.
  • Conduct regular meetings to understand customer needs, deliver tailored solutions, and provide scientific and commercial support.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Nordic colleagues to ensure effective implementation of account-specific strategies.
  • Sharing relevant customer and market insights with the wider cross-functional team and documenting customer interactions in our CRM system (Veeva).
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing insights for the neuro management team.
  • Stay up to date with clinical data, treatment guidelines, and developments within the Neuroscience field.
  • Identifying opportunities and business barriers to adoption and translating customer insights into concrete commercial actions.
  • Representing IPSEN at relevant national and international congresses, meetings and professional events.

 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales or Key Account Management in specialty care, preferably within neurology.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, pharmacists) and key decision-makers in hospital and/or community settings.
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including patient pathways, treatment protocols, and market access dynamics relevant to neurology and hospital setting.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop and execute strategic account plans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor scientific and clinical information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with medical, marketing, and sales operations teams to deliver account-specific strategies and achieve sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and digital tools to manage customer interactions and generate sales insights.
  • Familiarity with compliance and ethical standards in pharmaceutical sales is a must

Education & Languages

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field.
  • Certification to work in pharmaceutical sales in Sweden (LIF).
  • Native Swedish speaker with full professional proficiency in English.
  • A valid category B driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
