Job Summary

Knightscope is standing up a centralized Engineering Services function to support the full product portfolio: Signals, K7/Nav, H1, K5, K3, K1-family, KSOC, KEMS, and OpenExO. This role owns the shared DevOps and platform foundation every one of those programs depends on. You will consolidate today's fragmented pipelines into one durable platform, engineered to make every program faster, safer, and more consistent.

Knightscope is standing up a centralized Engineering Services function to support the full product portfolio: Signals, K7/Nav, H1, K5, K3, K1-family, KSOC, KEMS, and OpenExO. This role owns the shared DevOps and platform foundation every one of those programs depends on. You will consolidate today's fragmented pipelines into one durable platform, engineered to make every program faster, safer, and more consistent.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate the shared CI/CD pipeline serving Signals, K7/Nav, and Legacy.
  • Own the cloud infrastructure that runs Knightscope's SaaS platforms and internal tooling.
  • Standardize containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code across programs.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance on platform hardening.
  • Partner with Fleet and Release Automation on OTA delivery connected to cloud pipelines.
  • Build platform observability and metrics that reveal reality without guessing.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years in DevOps, Platform, or SRE with senior ownership of production infrastructure.
  • Deep hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred).
  • Containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Strong CI/CD pipeline design with fast feedback loops and safe deployments.
  • Track record supporting multiple product teams from a shared platform.


Nice to Have

  • Video or streaming infrastructure at scale.
  • Robotics, IoT, or connected-device fleets.
  • SOC 2 or comparable regulated environment.
  • Prior experience insourcing a platform from a third-party vendor.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $165,000 to $195,000 (DOE)
  • Equity: Stock options

  • Location Requirement: Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ
