Job description

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for the Wines and Spirits industry? We are looking for a dynamic Wine and Spirits Sales Manager to join our team and serve as the center of expertise for strategic sales and distribution. In this role, you will mobilize and lead a sales team to expand our distribution base, achieve sales and profitability objectives, and drive business growth within targeted channels.

 

Key Responsibilities

As the Wine and Spirits Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership: Developing and driving go-to-market and channel strategies to deliver numeric distribution objectives and meet brand performance targets.
  • Team Management: Coaching, developing, and managing a high-performance sales team. This includes conducting performance reviews, managing staff KPOs, and identifying training needs.
  • Relationship Management: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers to drive mutual growth and negotiate deals.
  • Operations & Analysis: Implementing department SOPs, managing sales territories and quotas, and analyzing market data to determine customer needs and price schedules.
  • Brand & Trade Marketing: Directing the implementation of brand strategies through the sales team and assisting with corporate promotional efforts.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • A Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Management, or Economics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales Leadership, with prior experience specifically leading a Wines and Spirits sales team.
  • Proven expertise in selling techniques, negotiating, and relationship management.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Project Management.
  • A creative personality with initiative, integrity, and a "can-do" attitude.
  • A reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle registered in your name and insured for business use.

You should be a pragmatic thinker capable of functioning independently under pressure and holding team members accountable for results.
