Job description
Hollywood-based entertainment marketing agency BOND (www.WeAreBOND.com) is seeking a talented, ambitious, and highly creative AI Artist / Designer to join our Design team. At BOND, we create award-winning campaigns for some of the biggest entertainment brands and projects in the world. We’re looking for an artist-designer with strong visual taste, a passion for image-making, and deep fluency in today’s generative AI creative workflows. This role is for someone who loves the chase: refining prompts, shaping assets, testing visual directions, rebuilding, reworking, iterating, and pushing until the image finally hits. The perfect frame. The perfect face. The perfect mood. The perfect strange little spark that makes a campaign feel alive.
This is a hybrid role based in Hollywood.
About the Role
As a AI Artist / Designer on our Design team, you’ll work alongside some of the best creative talent in entertainment marketing, contributing to key art explorations, campaign visuals, presentation materials, concept imagery, comps, mood boards, character and portrait studies, and AI-assisted visual development.
You’ll help the team explore what is possible now, and what will be possible next.
This role blends design craft, prompt fluency, aesthetic judgment, technical curiosity, and a relentless appetite for iteration. You should be comfortable generating, shaping, refining, and presenting AI-assisted imagery in support of high-level entertainment marketing campaigns across theatrical, streaming, television, and brand work.
You’ll be expected to bring energy, ideas, taste, and a strong point of view to the table — both on screen and off.
What You’ll Do
You will support the creative team across a wide range of entertainment marketing projects, including key art, campaign graphics, visual development, presentation materials, and exploratory image-making.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating AI-assisted visual concepts, image explorations, mood boards, and campaign studies
- Developing prompt strategies to explore characters, worlds, genres, tones, compositions, lighting, wardrobe, environments, textures, and cinematic visual language
- Iterating obsessively to refine images until they reach the highest possible creative standard
- Supporting key art explorations for theatrical, streaming, television, and brand campaigns
- Creating portrait-driven imagery, character studies, poster concepts, and visual territories
- Shaping AI-generated assets through compositing, retouching, layout, typography, and design refinement
- Working with art directors, creative directors, designers, producers, and project managers to translate creative direction into compelling visual options
- Building and maintaining efficient Gen AI workflows for concept development and image exploration
- Using ComfyUI to create, modify, test, and improve image-generation workflows
- Working across mainstream Gen AI platforms and tools as needed, including image generation, upscaling, inpainting, outpainting, reference-based workflows, and style exploration
- Preparing visual assets for internal review, client presentations, and downstream design development
- Communicating AI possibilities, limitations, and workflow options to stakeholders with varying levels of AI experience
- Staying current with emerging platforms, model capabilities, creative tools, and technological possibilities
- Using AI-assisted tools ethically, thoughtfully, and responsibly within the standards of a professional creative agency
- Maintaining a high standard of craft, organization, confidentiality, and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with:
- A passion for key art, movie posters, entertainment marketing, portraiture, visual storytelling, and campaign imagery
- Strong prompt-writing skills and the ability to guide AI systems toward specific creative outcomes
- Expert proficiency in your current Gen AI image-making workflow
- ComfyUI experience required
- Working knowledge of mainstream Gen AI platforms and tools
- A design background with strong fundamentals in composition, layout, hierarchy, typography, color, and visual mood
- Strong Photoshop skills, especially for compositing, retouching, cleanup, refinement, and image finishing
- A strong portfolio demonstrating taste, image-making ability, visual exploration, and conceptual thinking
- A love of iteration — not just making one image, but pushing through dozens or hundreds of possibilities to find the one that sings
- Strong visual judgment and the ability to recognize when an image is almost there, not there yet, or dead on arrival
- Curiosity about emerging creative tools and the discipline to stay ahead of what’s changing
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, feedback-driven creative environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, positive attitude
- Capacity to embrace change in an exciting, dynamic industry
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- A degree or background in Graphic Design, Illustration, Visual Communication, Digital Art, Photography, Film, or a related creative field
- Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop; Illustrator and InDesign are a plus
- Experience developing AI-assisted imagery for entertainment, editorial, advertising, branding, gaming, fashion, or character-driven visual work
- A portfolio that shows both finished work and process: prompts, iterations, visual directions, refinements, and final outcomes
- A strong understanding of cinematic lighting, posing, expression, wardrobe, genre, atmosphere, and composition
- Interest in the future of AI-driven creative workflows, image systems, visual development, and campaign production
- Comfort discussing Gen AI workflows with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A healthy respect for traditional design craft — because AI is powerful, but taste still drives the car
Nice to Have
- Experience with entertainment marketing, poster design, key art, editorial design, branding, or campaign design
- Experience with Stable Diffusion-based workflows, custom nodes, model testing, LoRAs, ControlNet-style workflows, upscaling, masking, inpainting, or advanced image-to-image workflows
- Experience with presentation design and client-facing visual storytelling
- Basic production knowledge for print, digital, and campaign asset development
- Familiarity with how AI can support concept development, design systems, reference gathering, rapid visualization, and visual prototyping
- Interest in photography, portraiture, fashion imagery, cinematic references, genre storytelling, and pop culture
Who You Are
- You are curious, driven, and hungry to grow.
- You care deeply about images. Not just whether they look “cool,” but whether they carry emotion, story, tension, polish, and purpose. You understand that great entertainment marketing is not just about making something beautiful. It’s about making someone feel something before they even know why.
- You love portraiture, faces, characters, cinematic worlds, bold compositions, iconic silhouettes, and the strange alchemy of a great poster.
- You are comfortable with technology, but you are not entranced by it. You know the machine can generate, but the artist still has to curate. You bring taste, patience, discipline, humility, and creative fire. The good kind!
