Regional Fleet Engineer – North West, Stoke & Scotland

Full time – Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum + annual bonus
Region: North West England, Stoke & Scotland

We're looking for an experienced Regional Fleet Engineer to support our workshop network and Mobile Service Units across North West England, Stoke and Scotland. The Role

As a Regional Fleet Engineer, you’ll support the performance, safety and compliance of our workshops and Mobile Service Units across North West England, Stoke and Scotland.

You’ll work across multiple locations, carrying out workshop and vendor audits, monitoring engineering standards and providing technical support to our operational teams. You’ll also help drive MSU performance, ensure vehicles and equipment remain compliant, and work with our teams and suppliers to maintain consistent engineering standards across the region.

Regular regional travel will be required, with a company car provided.

What you'll be doing:

· Conducting workshop and vendor audits to ensure engineering, safety and compliance standards are maintained
· Monitoring Mobile Service Unit utilisation and productivity, including weekly MSU performance tracking
· Ensuring road-going units and MSUs remain compliant with MOT, Tachograph, Tax, servicing and legal requirements
· Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support to Regional Operations Managers and Workshop Service Managers
· Carrying out quality re-inspections and technical assessments at customer sites where required
· Supporting the development and implementation of maintenance policies and engineering standards
· Monitoring tooling registers, calibration schedules and load testing to maintain workshop equipment compliance
· Delivering EHS training and supporting technician compliance with health, safety and operational standards
· Managing vendor performance, including labour rate negotiation and SLA compliance
· Working with operational and commercial teams to identify and implement improvements across the region

What you’ll bring

· Strong technical engineering knowledge with experience in fleet, HGV or trailer maintenance
· Experience supporting or managing multiple workshop locations and mobile teams
· A good understanding of vehicle maintenance, engineering standards and compliance requirements
· Confidence analysing maintenance and performance data and identifying areas for improvement
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operational teams, customers and suppliers
· A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership and make decisions
· Flexibility to travel regularly across North West England, Stoke and Scotland
