Job description
Driven by the passion to improve quality of people’s lives, WSA continues to grow as market leader in the hearing aid industry. With our commitment to increase penetration in an underserved hearing care market, we want to accelerate our business transformation in order to reach more people, more effectively.
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys turning product concepts into practical, manufacturable hardware solutions? Join our team and contribute to the development of next-generation hearing aid products, working closely with experienced hardware architects and cross-functional engineering teams.
In this role, you’ll combine mechanical design, CAD, simulation, product development, and manufacturing knowledge to support hardware architecture activities from early concepts through product realization. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex products, influence technical solutions, and gradually expand your responsibilities toward hardware architecture.
What you will do
Support hardware architecture activities from early product concepts through detailed subsystem solutions and form-factor development
Translate product and market requirements into feasible mechanical concepts, considering technical feasibility, commonality, manufacturability, and future product platforms
Develop and evaluate mechanical solutions using CAD, simulation, tolerance analysis, FEA, and other engineering methods to support robust design decisions
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, tooling, NPI, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to transition concepts into production-ready solutions
Contribute to project planning and communicate technical progress, risks, challenges, and mitigation actions to relevant stakeholders
Explore new technologies, engineering approaches, and innovation opportunities through competitor benchmarking and collaboration with hardware, acoustics, simulation, and global innovation teams.
What you bring
5–10 years of product development experience in mechanical engineering, hardware development, product concept development, or a related field, preferably within consumer electronics, medical devices, or other complex products
Strong hands-on experience in mechanical design and CAD, with knowledge of plastic, rubber, metal, and electro-mechanical components; experience with plastic and rubber components is particularly relevant
Solid knowledge of engineering analysis and product development methods, including tolerance analysis, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, FEA, DOE, and DFSS
Practical end-to-end product development experience, including exposure to manufacturing, tooling, NPI, quality, suppliers, and factory environments
Strong collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to support technical decisions, manage engineering activities, and deliver work within defined product development timelines
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with strong English communication skills; German, Danish, or Mandarin language skills are a plus.
Who we are
