Job Summary

Ellit Groups is seeking an experienced Epic Prelude Analyst to support the analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Prelude functionality within a complex healthcare environment.

The Epic Prelude Analyst will work closely with operational stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional Epic application teams to understand business and workflow requirements and translate them into effective system solutions. This individual will be responsible for researching, planning, building, testing, and implementing approved projects and enhancements while maintaining and supporting existing application functionality.

Key responsibilities include analyzing operational requirements and system capabilities, developing functional specifications and system designs, performing Epic build and configuration, conducting unit, system, and integration testing, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting application upgrades and Go-Live activities. The analyst will also participate in change control processes, identify workflow improvement opportunities, escalate risks and issues appropriately, and provide on-call support as required.

The ideal candidate is a certified Epic Prelude professional who can independently manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams, and deliver high-quality solutions that support organizational objectives and efficient patient access workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Epic Prelude certification.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of build experience as a certified Epic Analyst.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Epic Prelude configuration, build, maintenance, and support.
  • Experience working within a multi-entity healthcare environment.
  • Prior Epic implementation and Go-Live experience.
  • Experience analyzing operational requirements and translating them into effective Epic configurations and system solutions.
  • Experience developing functional specifications and system designs based on operational needs.
  • Experience performing unit, system, and integration testing and documenting outcomes.
  • Knowledge of workflow design and the ability to identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production support issues and appropriately escalate complex issues.
  • Strong technical, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-up skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, operational stakeholders, and end users.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting clinical applications in an inpatient or outpatient healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience mentoring or providing guidance to other Epic team members.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional Epic application initiatives.
  • Experience participating in application change control processes.
  • Experience with workflow optimization and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
