Job description

About sunday

At sunday, we're on a mission to reinvent hospitality, starting with how guests experience every moment at the table. With just their phone, guests can browse the menu, order, pay, tip, and leave a review in seconds. Behind that simplicity lies powerful technology built for the industry: from QR codes and smart payment terminals that save servers time, to real-time guest insights that help teams elevate every shift.

We're growing fast across Europe and the US, staying obsessed with one thing: creating the best possible experience for our customers. Our culture is hands-on, ambitious, and relentlessly focused on impact. We move fast, think big, and never settle for “good.”

If you're hungry to build the future of hospitality and scale something extraordinary, you'll feel right at home at sunday.

About the role

We're hiring a Senior GTM Engineer to build the systems that put the right restaurants in front of our sellers at the right moment. You'll sit inside our commercial organization, working with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations across the US, UK and France.

This role is for a builder who wants to drive, not just execute. You'll learn our go-to-market motion deeply, decide what's worth building, build it, and prove it worked. You'll also manage and mentor one GTM Engineer based in Europe.

What you'll do

The areas below are our starting point for Q4, and all of this work is global across the US, UK and France. Our Q4 roadmap is focused on Sales, but as we build the function this role will work across Operations and Customer Experience too. The bigger job is defining the mission and roadmap for GTM engineering with our Head of Revenue Operations, and we expect it to evolve fast.

Set the mission and roadmap

  • Work with the Head of Revenue Operations to define what GTM engineering at sunday builds, and in what order.

  • Dig into our business context and data, including pipeline, conversion, seller activity and market coverage, to decide where to build and where to spend your time.

  • Stay on top of what the best GTM teams and tools are doing, and make the case for what we adopt, replace or retire.

  • Measure impact in pipeline created, speed to lead, data accuracy and seller hours saved, and double down on what works.

Lead lists and scoring

  • Build a prioritized list for every seller of their highest-fit restaurants, kept current as restaurants open, close, add locations or change owners.

  • Build the scoring models that rank those restaurants, starting with product fit and expanding from there.

  • Build signal-based scoring that flags restaurants showing high intent because of recent changes, such as a new opening, a new location, a change of payment or POS provider, hiring, or a shift in reviews.

  • Build a contact waterfall so reps have the right decision makers and contact details for every lead.

Inbound

  • Improve inbound results by automating manual touch points, building stronger enrichment and designing best-in-class inbound flows.

  • Get every inbound lead to the right seller in minutes, with Slack alerts that give them the context they need to act.

Restaurant data

  • Build and manage our database of restaurant data with your team. Restaurant data is messy, and getting it right is one of the most interesting problems in this role.

  • Set our build-versus-buy strategy for restaurant data: which providers we pay for, what we build ourselves, and how it all fits together.

  • Build AI workflows that research each restaurant, including its website, menu, reviews, number of locations and current tech, and fill the gaps our data providers leave.

Outbound automation

  • Automate outbound end to end, from choosing who to contact to personalized sequences and follow-ups, at a volume no team could run by hand.

  • Build the sending setup behind it, including domains, inbox rotation and sender reputation.

Seller productivity

  • Take repetitive work off sellers, such as account research, call prep, follow-ups and CRM data entry.

  • Spend time with sellers and their managers, in pipeline reviews and on calls, to find where they lose time and what would help them win.

  • Own what you build end to end, including documentation, monitoring, and what happens at 10 times the volume, when a tool goes down, or when the same restaurant comes in twice.

Leading the team

  • Manage and mentor the GTM Engineer in Europe: set their priorities, lead their projects, review their work and help them grow.

About you

GTM engineering is a new field, and we care far more about what you've built than what it was called. If this sounds like you but you don't tick every box, we'd still love to hear from you.

Must-haves

  • GTM experience: 4+ years in go-to-market roles such as revenue operations, sales operations, growth or marketing operations, sales or solutions engineering.

  • Hands-on GTM engineering: at least 1–2 years building lead, enrichment and automation systems that sellers actually use.

  • AI-first in how you work: you use AI every day, not just in theory. You've shipped AI workflows that run on real data, and you know where models are reliable and where they break.

  • Build it yourself: you reach for Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to build and ship a working automation the same day, rather than waiting on someone else.

  • Clay power user: advanced Clay or a comparable enrichment platform, and you know when to use it and when to build something custom.

  • Technical depth: strong SQL and working Python or JavaScript. You're comfortable with APIs and webhooks, and you can connect two systems that have no built-in integration.

  • CRM know-how: hands-on Salesforce experience. You understand how leads and accounts move through it and why data quality slips over time.

  • Commercial instinct: you understand how sellers work and what helps them win, and you're as comfortable with a sales manager as with a data table.

  • Self-directed: you can point to problems you spotted yourself, decided were worth solving and saw through to results.

  • Leading others: you've managed, mentored or led the work of at least one person.

  • Global mindset: you're comfortable working across cultures and time zones, with teams in the US, UK and France.

  • Passion for restaurants: you're genuinely excited about restaurants and hospitality, and curious about how they run.

Nice to have

  • Experience in restaurant tech, hospitality, payments or POS.

  • Experience with messy data or a hard-to-reach customer base, such as selling to local trades, independent shops or other owner-operators.

  • Experience with high-volume sales: thousands of accounts per market and short sales cycles.

  • Experience working with data on local businesses or multi-location brands.

  • Experience with n8n, Zapier, Make or similar automation tools.

  • Experience building with LLM APIs such as Claude or OpenAI, or with agent tools and MCP.

  • French.

Location

This role is based in Atlanta, Miami or New York, working from a sunday office 3 days a week. Expect regular travel to spend time with our US and European teams.

Language

Professional English required. French is a plus.

Reporting line

This role reports to the Global Head of Revenue Operations and works closely with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations leaders across the US, UK and France.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $150,000–$185,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.

  • Stock Options

  • Free Vacation Policy

  • 100% Employer-Covered Health Insurance

  • + a 401K Plan in the US

Recruitment process

  1. HR screen — 20 to 30 minutes

  2. Hiring manager interview — Global Head of Revenue Operations, 45 minutes

  3. Case study and culture interview — one round, 60–90 minutes

  4. Offer

Thank you for taking the time to apply, and looking forward to getting to know you!
