About the role

  • Perform scheduled maintenance visits and corrective repairs, as directed, on Safety devices such as SCBA apparatus and Fixed Gas Detection Systems

  • Perform warranty repairs, as directed, on Safety devices.

  • Perform installation and commissioning activities, as directed, on Safety devices.

  • Perform technical corrective actions, as directed on Safety devices.

  • Complete required company documentation, such as electronic test procedures, as necessary.

  • Provide feedback of the quality situation and any issues from field to the Service Management

  • Team via regular meetings within local team.

  • Work within the processes of Draeger’s quality system & work instructions.

  • Track installed base accuracy and report variances to Service Support Team.

  • Provide support to sales for replacement / special sales programs.

  • Provide support to sales and marketing for congresses, exhibitions, demos,

  • workshops, etc.

  • Provide support to sales to develop contracts and assist in achievement of business goals.

  • Maintain company assets such as laptops etc. & tools in accordance with company guidelines.

Reporting Relationships

Manager - Regional Service Manager

Size of team/environment - There is a service team of 5 engineers working closely with sales, projects , customer services etc. Engineers are nationally based to support service contracts and providing a high level of customer service

Role Requirements

Education/Qualifications

  • A National Certificate, Diploma or Degree in a related Engineering subject is essential

Related Experience

  • Previous relevant experience, typically gained over a period of two years or more, is ideal.

  • Applicants for the position should have proven experience over a wide range of capital equipment & systems. Ideally with experience with either SCBA breathing apparatus or Fixed Gas Detection Systems

  • Ability to organise and prioritise to meet a wide range of diverse & demanding activities.
