Job description
The AI & Automation Implementation Consultant turns operational problems into working AI and automation solutions. You'll lead discovery, build sequenced implementation plans, guide configuration and technical delivery, and stay accountable through rollout, adoption, and handoff into recurring support. Full-time contractor role, remote-friendly.
Responsibilities:
Lead tasks-first discovery with client owners and operators to understand current AI use, guardrails, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints Map workflows and identify repetitive work, handoff failures, error-prone steps, and decisions suited to automation Score opportunities by value, feasibility, risk, and measurable time savings, then sequence the highest-value work Turn readiness findings into a 90-day implementation plan with named deliverables, owners, dependencies, and success measures Design and configure Microsoft Copilot, custom GPT and Copilot agents, Rewst or Power Automate workflows, system integrations, and focused internal tools Translate client requirements into build specifications and pair with the Senior Developer & Automation Specialist on API-driven or custom development Lead client validation, document operating controls and support procedures, and prepare each solution for production rollout Train client teams, monitor adoption and business outcomes, refine deployed solutions, and hand stable services into recurring management Qualifications: 3+ years consulting or solutions-architect role with AI/automation focus Strong client-facing communication; comfortable in C-suite conversations Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Rewst, Power Automate, Zapier) Eligible to work in the U.S.
