Job description

What we offer

  • Work in an international, agile team creating the future of autonomous systems
  • Grow your career in a expanding and ambitious engineering team
  • Build innovative products using state-of-the-art technologies in AI, robotics, and autonomy
  • Benefit from a steep learning curve and continuous development
  • Enjoy team events and a strong, collaborative culture

Your mission

  • Design, build, and maintain core robotics software for autonomous UAV systems, from middleware to hardware bring-up
  • Develop and maintain production-grade ROS 2 nodes, interfaces, and middleware using C++
  • Integrate cameras, IMUs, GNSS, and vehicle systems into our autonomy stack
  • Collaborate on the integration of core robotics software across sensing, navigation, and vehicle interfaces
  • Deploy, package, and maintain software on NVIDIA Jetson and embedded Linux platforms
  • Debug and optimize robotics software running on real UAV hardware
  • Support flight tests through pre-flight preparation, on-site debugging, log analysis, and post-flight fixes
  • Work closely with autonomy, perception, and platform engineers to deliver reliable end-to-end system integration
  • Contribute to improving software reliability, deployment workflows, and maintainability across the robotics stack

Your profile

  • 3–6+ years of professional experience developing robotics or embedded software (strong senior candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of exact years)
  • Strong professional experience developing with C++ (this is a C++-first role; Python-only backgrounds are not a fit)
  • Experience with ROS 2, or comparable robotics/real-time middleware, deployed on real hardware
  • Solid experience debugging software on Linux and embedded Linux systems
  • Hands-on experience integrating sensors and robotic platforms
  • Experience deploying production software onto embedded or robotic systems rather than simulation-only environments
  • Experience using Git and collaborative software development workflows
  • Willingness to support flight test campaigns in the field

Nice to have

  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms
  • Experience integrating PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink, or other flight control systems
  • Experience with camera calibration, sensor synchronization, or video pipelines
  • Experience with software packaging and deployment (Docker, Snap, OTA, Nix)
  • Familiarity with UAVs, autonomous vehicles, or robotics perception systems

What else

  • Outside-the-box creativity with a blend of conceptual and systematic design thinking.
  • High intrinsic motivation, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Structured, methodical, and reliable execution, even under uncertainty.
  • Humble, collaborative, and mission-driven — values collective success over ego.
  • High ethical standards and disciplined work ethic.
  • Extra-curricular achievements, leadership, or unique projects are a plus.
  • NATO-aligned nationality or close ally citizenship is required.
