Introduction to the Team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.
The Global Financial Technology organization is a strategic partner to Expedia Group’s Finance functions and delivers technology solutions that help ensure critical initiatives are completed on time and within budget. As part of the Financial Close, Planning, and Compliance team, you will help develop and support the platforms that power financial close, consolidation, reconciliation, planning, and forecasting processes across the company.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the senior technical lead and subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management (EPCM).
- Design, configure, and evolve allocation models, rules, driver logic, calculations, and supporting metadata.
- Establish standards for solution design, metadata governance, performance optimization, maintainability, and platform support.
- Design integration patterns across Oracle Cloud EPCM, General Ledger, Enterprise Planning and Budgeting (EPB), and other finance platforms.
- Translate complex Finance requirements into scalable configurations, integrations, automations, and technical designs.
- Lead enhancements through solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and operational support.
- Ensure solutions meet SOX, IT General Controls, audit, access management, change management, and traceability requirements.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Controls, Audit, Tax, Treasury, Finance Technology, and data teams.
- Identify control gaps, data-quality issues, performance risks, and opportunities to reduce manual work.
- Provide technical mentorship, participate in design reviews, and promote consistent engineering practices across delivery teams.
- Influence platform direction and adopt Oracle Cloud capabilities that improve operational effectiveness and user experience.
Experience and Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including senior engineering, technical leadership, solution architecture, or platform leadership in complex finance technology environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, or a related field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- Deep hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud EPM and Oracle EPCM application design, configuration, and support.
- Experience with allocation models, cost-driver logic, business rules, finance data structures, and planning or forecasting processes.
- Experience integrating Oracle Cloud EPCM with Oracle Cloud General Ledger and Oracle Cloud EPB.
- Experience with Data Management, EPM Automate, REST APIs, and enterprise data integration patterns.
- Understanding of metadata and dimension design, hierarchy governance, security models, data lineage, reconciliation, and auditability.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, SOX controls, ITGCs, access controls, change management, and testing evidence requirements.
- Ability to lead complex, ambiguous initiatives across multiple systems and stakeholder groups while influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills in finance-critical environments.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Finance, Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud FCCS, ARCS, TRCS, Smart View, Narrative Reporting, or related Finance reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Calculation Manager, scripting, automation, and advanced Oracle Cloud EPM capabilities.
- Experience working in Agile or structured delivery environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers, analysts, and project team members.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
