Job Description



The Epic Application Analysts are responsible for performing professional duties involving the selection or development, implementation, testing, documentation, maintenance and effective utilization of Epic applications software to meet and support clinical and business Information Services (IS) needs. The Epic Application Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a clear knowledge of their respective application and workflows associated with that application. They demonstrate excellent presentation skills and have an excellent ability to answer end-users questions related to their application. Epic application analysts are responsible to keep their Epic certifications up-to-date and active

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Epic security program, including user provisioning, role-based access, security class maintenance, and access governance.
  • Configure and maintain Epic security records, templates, providers, and related system access components.
  • Perform security audits, access reviews, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex security and access issues while serving as an Epic security subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, application teams, training, HR, and compliance partners to support user lifecycle management and security initiatives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve security processes, standardization, automation, and operational efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, or 5+ years of equivalent clinical or information services experience may be considered
  • Epic Security Certification or Accreditation  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Epic Certifications for cross-training
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience with security redesign projects

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
