We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions

About the role
We are looking for a Software Integration Engineer to bring customer and in-house software together into working Vehicle OS releases that run in production vehicles. You will sit between customers, software engineers and vehicle test teams. You will integrate software components across ECUs and vehicle domains, own the build and release pipeline, and make sure each integration works on SIL, HIL and vehicle setups. The work involves close collaboration with customers in Japan and engineering teams in the US.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
Work directly with customers to integrate their software components and applications into the Vehicle OS
Build, configure and integrate software across ECUs, including toolchains, cross-compilation and target deployment
Own integration builds and releases: version management, dependency handling, release notes and delivery to customers
Bring up and flash software on target hardware, benches and vehicles
Set up and run integration testing on SIL, HIL and in-vehicle environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and integration test automation
Triage integration issues across software, network and hardware layers, and drive root-cause analysis with the software teams
Track integration readiness and quality to hit SoP milestones
Set up an integration workflow that works across Japan and US time zones
We're looking for someone who has:
BSc or MSc in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field
5+ years of experience in automotive software integration, build/release engineering or ECU software development
Working knowledge of C and C++, and of build systems (e.g. CMake, Make, Bazel)
Experience integrating software on embedded Linux, QNX or RTOS-based targets
Hands-on experience with HIL/SIL environments and automotive tools (e.g. Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, dSPACE, Lauterbach, ETAS or similar)
Strong understanding of in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP) and diagnostics (UDS, DoIP), including flashing and reprogramming
Scripting experience for automation (Python, Bash)
Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Strong debugging skills across hardware, software and network layers
Fluency in both English and Japanese (written and verbal), with the ability to operate effectively in a bilingual business environment
Nice to have:
Experience integrating Classic AUTOSAR and/or Adaptive AUTOSAR stacks (e.g. Vector DaVinci, EB tresos)
Experience with containerization or virtualization (Docker, hypervisors) for automotive platforms
Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262 functional safety or ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity
Experience with OTA update systems or software configuration management at scale
Experience working directly with OEM or Tier 1 customers
Experience with in-vehicle testing and data logging/analysis tools
